Two fan favourites took to the field to clash in the final of the Boys’ Gothia Puma Trophy. Where Right to Dream and TikiTaka Academy played each other for the first time since the final two years ago where Right to Dream became victorious. Now two years later they did it again. “Words can’t describe how I feel right now”, says Fuseini, scorer of the winning penalty.
An excellent goal from Alison Fine and a perfect display of good defense led to victory in Gothia Puma trophy for Minnesota Thunder Acadamy. Fines goal was an absolute stunner. ”When I saw the ball hit the back of the net I got a cold rush in my body”, she says.
The final in Girls 14 between KFV Segeberg and Södra Sandby IF was a very tight and tough game. But towards the end, the Swedes were able to make two goals and win the trophy.
In the finals of B13 Brommapojkarna 2 faced Brommapojkarna 1. The whole thing ended with a comfortable 5-0 victory for Brommapojkarna 1 who managed to keep clean sheets through the whole tournament. ─ The feeling is unbelieveble, says the winning goalkeeper Angelo Melkemichel.
It was full speed ahead when Swedish Lerums IS faced Danish Viborg Q in the G16 final of this year’s Gothia Cup. Two undefeated teams and talented squads promised an entertaining game and ended with a long-awaited comeback for the Swedish side.
NCE took an early lead in the final on SKF Arena against SKF Canada, and didn’t let it go. The team from USA kept scoring and could win the match by 7–0. Se-Hanna Mars scored a hattrick.
ED Moratalez from Spain kept a clean sheet against a strong Latvian team and could celebrate the win after their two goals. Juan Berzosa Meseguer scored the first one and assisted to the other one. ”My own performance was good but I couldn’t have done it without help from the team”, the man of the match says.
Ordin FC are the Gothia Cup champions after winning against FC Saint Cloud in the final. ─ It feels great, says Igod Odoni Gomes, the team captain of Ordin FC
KFV Segeberg 2 are champions in Girls 12 – much thanks to the forward Hanna Lengkey who scored two goals in the game.
