Gothia PUMA Trophy is an invitational tournament for boys and girls, 17 years. The tournament is held during Gothia Cup, July 13th-19th, 2025 at Valhalla IP and Heden, often in front of an audience of 7000 persons.
At Gothia PUMA Trophy the Swedish elite teams compete against specially invited international teams in the most prestigious tournament in the world for 17 year olds.
Eight teams from Sweden plays against eight invited teams from the rest of the world. The teams participating in this category have been invited to the tournament by the tournament competition organisation at Gothia Cup.
Twelve Swedish teams plays against twelve invited international teams.
The teams participating in this category have been invited to the tournament - The Swedish teams has to be certified by Tipselit and are invited by Swedish Elite Football Association (SEF). The international teams are invited by Gothia Cup.
The tournament was first held in 2009 and was a success from the beginning. The interest for the tournament has then increased every year and is now a tradition for many locals to watch during the summer. In 2014 the girls tournament was held for the first time.
