– It feels really good to win, it's an indescribable feeling, says Mete Gul.
On a sunny Heden 5, the B11 final was played between RS Sports from Brazil and Swedish GAIS. In the first half, the spectators were treated to Brazilian dance and for a moment, it felt like being on Copacabana rather than Heden. It wasn't just the sun shining, but also number 10 in RS Sports, Arthur Zempulski Damiani, who scored two goals.
– When we were two goals down, I thought we should keep fighting and not give up. We were in the same situation in the semi-final, but we made a comeback, so I thought we could do the same, says player of the match Mete Gul.
Before halftime, GAIS equalised and the score was 2–2 when the referee blew the whistle to start the second half. The second half began evenly and after six minutes, GAIS made it 3–2 through Mete Gul, his second goal of the match.
– Taking back the lead is a magical feeling. It can't be described, continues Mete.
With a goal each from both teams, the score was 3–4 with ten minutes remaining in the match. In the 44th minute, Mete Gul scored a hat-trick, extending GAIS's lead to 5-3.
–It feels really good to win, it's an indescribable feeling. I am proud of myself, my teammates, my coaches, and everyone is just great. Now we are going to celebrate with the coaches and parents – eating kebab, says Mete.
