NorCal Premier PDP Won the G17 Final: “I’m very thankful”

NorCal Premier PDP emerged victorious in the G17 final with a commanding win against Jitex BK at Gamla Ullevi Arena.
– It was a well deserved win for our team, says Gabby Ferraro.
The match started with several attacks from NorCal Premier PDP. In the 13th minute, they took the lead after a chaotic situation. It was the team’s number 10, Samantha Mac Niven, who scored the goal. Shortly after, she extended the lead to 2-0. By the end of the first half, the score was 4-0.
– It was really important for us. Everyone's spirits were lifted, and we just kept that mood for the rest of the match, said the Most Valuable Player, Gabby Ferraro, after the game.
Early in the second half, we saw a shot on goal from NorCal, which was saved by Jitex goalkeeper Thea Arkdal Ranebro. It took NorCal only six more minutes to make another attempt on goal. Despite a strong effort from the Jitex goalkeeper, NorCal scored on the rebound to make it 5-0. NorCal continued to dominate the second half and won the match with a final score of 5-0.
– My girls deserve this win, so I feel really happy and grateful for this experience, said Gabby Ferraro.
The Most Valuable Player was awarded to Gabby Ferraro. Both the victory in this year’s Gothia Cup and the player of the match award will be celebrated in the best possible way.
– We're going to celebrate with ice cream and, of course, watch our other teammates play in the final later today, said Gabby Ferraro.
